With Summer in full swing we decided we needed a fire pit to enjoy the cool Portland evenings.
We put on our DIY hats and got to work. First stop, Home Depot!
We got all of our supplies for building the fire pit and we got to work. First we had to remove a pesky plant that was in the way.
Next step was to arrange the stones and fill the pit with sand.
After that, we had to rent a truck and pick up 2,000 pounds of small stones to fill out the area around the pit. This was some back breaking work!
Finally after all the hard work, it was back to Home Depot to test out some adirondack chairs. Choices, choices, choices!
Last but not least, pour a drink and enjoy!
